Noa Blanket Co

Limitless Collection

Noa Blanket Co. approached us to create a film and photography series to launch their new Limitless Collection of blankets. Noa wanted to document the journey to creating these blankets as well as the stories that are embedded into each of the three designs. Each blanket represents a story whether it’s UHI TAI that speaks of the steadfast Tirikawa (North Rock) near Mauao or TĀTAI HONO that references the architecture of Whare Tupuna (the traditional meeting house). These stories were referenced through the selection of relevant and significant locations. Woven throughout the film there’s themes of craft, celebration and internal & environmental sustainability. These are topics that have been encountered by Josh and Whakaawa throughout Noa Blanket Co’s inception and are key to the overall brand story.

This project was a team effort, capturing documentary footage in a working wool mill, on location and in an interview setting. The final blankets were styled in collaboration with Josh and Whakaawaa & photographed in studio creating dramatic floating shapes to emphasise the designs unique characteristics.

We were honoured to be invited to attend the launch of the Limitless Collection and the films debut at Object Space gallery in Auckland. It was a proud moment for our team to be part of the whole journey and experience the project through the eyes of a live audience.

The Limitless Collection is in constant expansion and we continue to work with Noa Blankets to bring their products to market.
